Gruff Rhys has unveiled plans for a new game connected to his song ‘Whale Trail’.
Gruff Rhys has a hell of an imagination. The Welsh songwriter is a truly unique talent, with new solo album ‘Hotel Shampoo’ finding the Super Furry Animals mainman in the middle of a real pop streak.
Released to widespread acclaim, ‘Hotel Shampoo’ has been followed by some memorable projects. Launching the album in a Blackpool hotel, Gruff Rhys has now completed his own video game.
‘Whale Trail’ is available from October 20th on the iPhone and iPad, in which players pilot Willow The Whale through the skies collecting colours and points.

Meanwhile, Gruff Rhys is almost at the half way point of his latest British tour. Joined by Y Niwl, upcoming dates include a show at St. David’s Hall in Cardiff tomorrow night (October 5th).
The dates will continue with shows in Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and more before hitting London on October 12th. Taking place at Shepherds Bush Empire, the tour then finishes with a one off show in Ashford.
