PIXX will release her new album 'Small Mercies' on June 7th.
The precocious riser is signed to 4AD, who released her debut album 'The Age Of Anxieties' back in 2017.
Since then she's returned to the studio, using those experiences to channel the fresh creativity that fuels her incoming second LP.
'Small Mercies' lands on June 7th, led by blistering new track 'Disgrace' – glistening 80s styled alt-pop with a chugging bass line worthy of Peter Hook, the spoken word breakdown gets to the heart of the matter.
PIXX explains:
"This song is about growing up in an ultra-conservative Catholic school which was restrictive and oppressive. I think this is a lack of humanity in the way the system works, rather than teaching empathy and kindness it forces people into a dangerous self-loathing cycle. This is an ode to anyone trapped in a place they feel they don't belong."
Tune in now.
