Australian math-rockers Pivot have announced a series of shows prior to the August 18th release of their debut album “O Soundtrack my Heart”.
Signed to the influential Warp Records, Pivot blend the hyperactive guitars of such groups as Battles with some sublime electronica more in keeping with their bosses illustrious history. Debut album “O Soundtrack My Heart” is a frenetic and ambitious stab at a new form of rock ‘n’ roll, and has already garnered a huge word of mouth hype.
The band have confirmed a series of UK shows prior to the release of the album, and they will then travel home to Australia to support Icelandic post-rock icons Sigur Ros at two massive shows.
“O Soundtrack My Heart” will be released on August 18th. Pivot will play the following UK tour dates:
June 28th – Glastonbury, Dance Pavillion
June 30th – Brighton, Audio (with White Denim)
July 3rd – London, Cargo (with White Denim)
July 20th – Truck Festival
August 30th – Electric Picnic, Galway, Ireland
