PINS have posted new track 'Kiss Me Quickly (It's Christmas)' – listen to it below.
Christmas songs are naff, right? All tinsel, mistletoe and Noddy Holder warbling endlessly through all eternity. It's a time for stuffing wrapping paper in your ears and hoping for the best.
Well, PINS are at hand to supply an alternative. The Manchester four piece have enjoyed a sterling year, with their debut album winning across the board plaudits (look! here's the Clash review!).
Ending the year in some style, PINS will curate a Christmas themed cassette release titled 'Hymns' via their own Haus Of PINS imprint. Proceeds from the compilation go to SWAP – an organisation helping asylum seekers and refugees, and one close to the band's heart.
"The idea behind it, at risk of sounding lame, is just to give something back" Faith explains. "My grandfather volunteers for the charity, he goes every week – he’s 81 years old and still chooses to spend his time doing this really admirable thing. I think he is an inspiration."
PINS' own contribution opens the compilation. Check out the tantalising, Spector-esque hum of 'Kiss Me Quickly (It's Christmas)' below.
