Pink Moutaintops Return

Canadian group prepare third album

Celebrated Canadian group Pink Mountaintops are due to release their third album ‘Outside Love’ on May 4th.

A veteran of the Vancouver / Victoria punk rock scene, Stephen McBean is best known for his contributions to acclaimed rock band Black Mountain, but also leads Pink Mountaintops.

Now onto their third album, ‘Outside Love’ is a ten track collection of songs that demonstrates the chaotic, stream of consciousness style of writing that McBean specialises in.

Amongst the topics the songwriter covers on the album are weddings in Montreal, winter, Pink Floyd’s The Final Cut, Christmas albums, the Bermuda triangle and much more.

For ‘Outside Love’ Stephen McBean has been joined by a number of other talents including members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sunn O))), Jackie O Motherf*cker and much, much more.

Recorded at multiple studios, ‘Outside Love’ was mixed at Elmwood Studios by John Congleton, whose CV includes Modest Mouse, Explosions In The Sky and much more.

In addition to the new album Pink Mountaintops have also confirmed some rare UK tour dates, including an appearance at the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival.

Pink Mountaintops are due to release their new album ‘Outside Love’ on May 4th.
