Despite an absence of almost 20 years, Pink Floyd remain a huge name.
The band have a global fan base – and audience which was sent into delirium by a quick announcement yesterday (June 7th).
New album 'The Endless River' will be released in October, seemingly drawing on sessions recorded during the process of finishing 1994's 'The Division Bell'.
Now a short statement from Pink Floyd has sketched out the album a little more: "It is an album of mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993/4 Division Bell sessions which feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright."
"The album is produced by David Gilmour with Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson. Work is still in progress, but more details to come at the end of the Summer."
Exciting times…
