Pinch has signalled the launch of new imprint Cold Recordings with a special mix.
One of the most influential figures in bass culture, Pinch is also one of the busiest. The Bristol don has been the muscle behind Tectonic for some time now, in addition to his own career as a producer and selector.
Currently working on a collaboration with Adrian Sherwood, the dubstep pioneer has now confirmed his intentions to launch new label Cold Recordings.
Seemingly quite distinct from his work with Tectonic, Cold Recordings will be a vinyl only label designed as "an outlet for new movements in the ever evolving UK hardcore-continuum—taking inspirational vibrations from a long standing heritage that ran through acid house, hardcore, jungle, UK garage, dubstep and beyond."
Cardiff-based producer Elmono takes charge of the inaugural release, a two track EP with the following tracklisting:
A. Baton Rouge
B. Shadows On The Moon
Pinch has constructed a preview mix focussing on the sound / ethos of Cold Recordings – stream it below.
