Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have released their new single ‘Detroit’.
The band are an all-too-rare success story – avowedly left of centre, undeniably challenging, they’ve nonetheless amassed a huge audience.
Pigs x7 are set to tour around the country in Spring 2025, including some of their biggest headline shows to date. Playing London’s KOKO on April 4th, the band’s heavy duty reverberations will resound under the venue’s famed disco ball – left over from a Madonna album launch party, would you believe.
A sign of the band’s ascendance, news of the tour comes as Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs toast a milestone – their viral KEXP session has smashed through the million view mark.
New single ‘Detroit’ keeps everything flowing forwards. A timely skull-crushing that demolishes the inherent, sickly security many men wrap around themselves, it’s a blood-inducing blow against patriarchal systems.
Singer Matt Baty explains…
’Detroit’ reflects on the worst manifestations of male jealousy and resentment, and the ways in which a lack of accountability can lead to deflecting responsibility in exchange for blaming external forces like fate or God for perceived injustice.
Tune in now.
