South London auteur piglet has confirmed new EP ‘for frank forever’.
The songwriter has a unique sound, one that carries huge emotional depth. piglet’s incoming EP touches on a profound sense of loss, while also looking at grief, pursuance, and analysing what remains.
The songs are dedicated to piglet’s friend Frank (aka Trib), who took his own life last year. Out on November 8th via Blue Flowers, ‘for frank forever’ follows a run of collaborations, such as recent work with Tiberius b and Jemima Coulter.
New song ‘white knuckles’ offers de-fragmented soul, his approach to art is both direct, and disarmingly refreshing. piglet breaks down tropes and views them from askew angles, and with ‘white knuckles’ this offers a glimpse into his inner life.
He comments…
‘white knuckles’ is about a moment of clarity, when you finally put together the pieces and take notice of the signs and patterns you previously ignored out of love for the other person. It’s about the heartbreak of seeing things for what they really are and the freedom of choosing to walk away out of care for yourself…
