Picture Parlour’s ‘Judgement Day’ Is About All-Consuming Love

New single underlines the hype...

Picture Parlour has shared new single ‘Judgement Day’.

The band – formed by songwriting duo Katherine Parlour and Ella Risi – struck gold right out the bat, with debut single ‘Norwegian Wood’ sparking a ruckus online. Since then, they’ve toured hard, before heading back into the studio.

Working with producer Catherine Marks – who produced the boygenius LP, doncha know – new single ‘Judgement Day’ comes as Picture Parlour prepare to complete a pair of completely sold out London shows alongside the Last Dinner Party.

Out now, it’s an understated return, but that makes its lyrical intent punch all the harder. A song about instant connection, ‘Judgement Day’ is propelled by lust, by the urge to surrender to temptation.

Katherine Parlour says: “‘Judgement Day’ is a love letter. It’s being knocked off your feet by someone you never expected to meet and surrendering to that all consuming feeling. It’s a dramatic statement that at the end of time, on judgement day, you want to stand hand in hand with your lover.”

Tune in now.
