Noted rock photographer Jim Marshall has passed away aged 74.
Marshall was the man behind the lens for many of Rock’s iconic photos including the famous shot of Johnny Cash flipping the bird seen here. He was also the chief photographer at Woodstock, capturing The Who and others, shot Jimi Hendrix setting his guitar alight at the Monterey Pop festival and was the only photographer at The Beatles last concert.
Responsible for capturing a classic age of Rock, his images are a worthy testament to his passion for music and photography.
