Phoebe Green has shared her stunning new single 'Dreaming Of' – tune in now.
The songwriter's debut project '02:00 AM' landed in 2016, and since then it has become a viral phenomenon, clocking up millions of streams completely independently.
Now signed to Chess Club, Phoebe Green will support her new label-mates Sundara Karma on a nationwide tour.
New single – her first 'proper' single, actually – 'Dreaming Of' is a real stunner, a fusion of deft ear-worm melody and those assured, highly personal lyrics.
Produced by Kaines and Tom A.D – in actuality Alex Robertshaw of Everything Everything and renowned engineer Tom Fuller – it's a coy, curious gem.
Phoebe Green explain: “I think being a young person today it’s so easy to let the way others perceive you determine your self worth. The past few years I have felt the need to change the way I behave in order to appease others, to fit into a box and to be compliant.”
“I no longer want to dumb myself down or be a lesser version of myself so that I’m easier to digest, and ‘Dreaming Of’ is a passive aggressive, sugarcoated representation of that.”
