Peter Perrett Announces New Album ‘Humanworld’

It lands on June 7th...

Peter Perrett is set to release new album 'Humanworld' on June 7th.

The songwriter helmed The Only Ones during their incendiary, hugely influential run, before largely turning his back on music.

Returning in 2017, Peter Perrett released the remarkable solo LP 'How The West Was Won' to widespread acclaim.

Playing some celebratory live shows, the songwriter has now returned to the studio to focus on a follow up.

'Humanworld' will be released on June 7th, and it moves in a slightly different direction than its predecessor.

He comments: "This record has got more urgency and the songs are more concise. Don’t like words such as progression but I hope this is texturally and sonically more interesting than 'How The West Was Won'."

Peter works on the record alongside his guitar and bass playing sons Jamie and Peter Jr, drummer Jake Woodward, Jenny Maxwell (Microkorg synthesiser, viola, BVs) and Lauren Moon (keys, drums, BVs).

New song 'I Want Your Dreams' is online now – tune in below.

'Humanworld' will be released on June 7th.
