Hot on the heels of this year’s experimental ‘Seaside Rock’ Swedish indie-poppers Peter, Bjorn & John are set to release another new album in 2009.
The as-yet un-named album will be released next year, with the workaholic trio recording material throughout the year. This year’s ‘Seaside Rock’ was a collection of instrumentals, with vocal samples taken from conversations with ordinary Swedes.
‘Seaside Rock’ confused fans and critics alike, with most expecting a follow up to the acclaimed ‘Writer’s Block’ album. The group have saved that material for this year’s release, which will be trailed by the track ‘Lay It Down’ – set to be released as a download soon.
Peter Bjorn & John will release their fifth album in 2009. The band will play the following dates:
March 5th – Scala, London
March 6th – Academy 2, Manchester
March 7th – The Button Factory, Dublin
