Pete Doherty Banned From Driving

For his role in hit and run

Indie icon Pete Doherty has been banned from driving after allowing his manager to drive his Daimler without insurance.

Pete Doherty’s rap sheet is longer than the Old and New Testaments combined. The indie icon has had more than his fair share of trouble with the law, being arrested twice within days last year.

The singer’s latest run in with the law occurs after a tragic accident. Pete Doherty allowed his manager Andrew Boyd to borrow his car, with the music industry figure intending to make a short journey.

Turning to speak to his small daughter in the back seat, Andrew Boyd his a pedestrian. Recently found guilty of driving without due care and attention, the manager was recently given a jail sentence.

For his role in the tragic accident, Pete Doherty has been banned from driving. In addition to this the singer has been fined for £500 by magistrates in Suffolk.

This is the latest in a long line of difficulties for the singer. Last year Pete Doherty faced charges of driving under the influence, and when the Babyshambles frontman turned up to court has dropped a bag of drugs on the floor.

Discharged from court, he was immediately re-arrested by police. Pleading guilty, the singer is now looking to get back towards the music industry after his trouble plagued spell last year.

Babyshambles have begun work on their third album, which is due to be released some time later this year.
