Pete Doherty Artwork Raffled

Babyshambles Charity Work

Pete Doherty and his Babyshambles band mates have been busy crafting unique postcards which will be raffled in aid of Doherty’s current hometown of Marlborough.

As part of a scheme to involve Wiltshire celebrities the band were invited by the council to decorate some postcards as part of the ongoing “We Love Marlborough” scheme. Doherty’s contribution was etched in his own blood – a style that has become the singer’s trademark.

The postcards are now on display in a gallery in Marlborough as part of an exhibition that will run until the end of July. After the display has finished, the postcards will be raffled for charity with tickets costing only £5 each.

Other members of Babyshambles, including Drew McConnell and Adam Ficek, have designed postcards. The designer of the artwork for Babyshambles’ last album “Shotter’s Nation”, Alize Meurisse, has also designed special card for the event.
