Pet Shop Boys Return With New Album

'Elysium' due in September

Pet Shop Boys are set to return later this year, with new album ‘Elysium’ due in September.

The term ‘legend’ gets bandied around a fair bit these days. However when you scan over the career of Pet Shop Boys, there can be no doubt that Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are utter legends.

Set to return later this year, Pet Shop Boys have outlined plans for a new album. ‘Elysium’ will be released in September, with the pair having completed studio sessions with American producer – and Kanye West cohort – Andrew Dawson.

Two quotes…

Andrew Dawson: “It was really exciting for me to work with Pet Shop Boys – the breadth of their career has been phenomenal. They both have incredible ideas and I’ve definitely learned a few tricks from them on making records”.

Pet Shop Boys: “We wanted to make this album in a different environment. Despite frequent visits there we have never made an album in Los Angeles. Working there with Andrew Dawson has enabled us to make a very fresh-sounding album.”

As a short preview, Pet Shop Boys are offering up a film directed by Brian Bless. Containing the new track ‘Invisible’ you can watch the clip below.
