Peel Dream Magazine Launch New Album ‘Pad’

"I think some folks might find it surprising..."

Peel Dream Magazine will release new album ‘Pad’ on October 7th via Tough Love.

The album announcement also comes with the release of an eponymous title track, providing a weird and wonderful look into Peel Dream Magazine’s upcoming project.

‘Pad’ is a silky smooth inquiry into losing oneself, an introduction into an album investigating isolation and identity. The project’s concept is an imagined story in which lead singer Joseph Stevens’ bandmates kick him out of the band. The album’s narrative follows his journey to rejoin his peers, discovering himself along the way.

The synthy, avant-garde music video for ‘Pad’ introduces Stevens’ storyline, filmed on a day off from the band’s tour with soccer mommy. Joseph Stevens comments…

“I wanted to frame it as a fairytale, where everyone gets to meet this aggrieved character, and read excerpts from the actual story about how I arrived at this place. It’s just a beginning, though. The song is one of my favorites from the new record, it’s just got a really unusual feel to it for me, and I think some folks might find it surprising.”

A little bit conceptual, a little bit satirical, a little bit inspired.

Tune in now.
