Pearl & The Oysters Joined By Stereolab’s Lætitia Sadier On ‘Read The Room’

A dreamy single...

Pearl & The Oysters are joined by Stereolab’s Lætitia Sadier on new single ‘Read The Room’.

The project is helmed by Juliette Pearl Davis and Joachim Polack – or JuJu and JoJo – with their new album ‘Coast 2 Coast’ set to land next month on Stones Throw. A label known for left-field electronics and underground hip-hop, this new release finds the LA stable embrace left-field, profoundly psychedelic pop music.

With the new LP incoming, Pearl & The Oysters have just shared a fresh preview. Out now, ‘Read The Room’ has a glam edge, while the dreamy duel vocal makes use of Stereolab’s Lætitia Sadier.

The results are deeply lysergic, hallucinogenic pop with a twist of glam. “We knew straight away that we wanted to work with Lætitia when we had the idea of double-lead vocals,” say Juliette and Joachim. “We wanted a heavier guitar track on the album, and looking back, recording these outrageously loud guitars in our tiny Highland Park 1-bedroom during peak covid panic was both an absurd and exhilarating experience. Freedom road!”

Tune in now.
