Leeds trio Peakes have shared a stripped back version of their song 'Waves'.
The band's precocious electronic pop sound is enormously suggestive, matching itchy electronic experimentation – think AFX, early Warp – to divine pop vocals.
Gossamer songwriting with a hazy, gauzy sheen, Peakes released their song 'Waves' earlier in the year but have decided to return to it.
This stripped back, pared down version focusses on both the skeletal songwriting and that wonderful vocal, the two combining and contrasting in equal measure.
Intriguing stuff – you can check it out below.
Peakes will play London's The Waiting Room on October 25th.
