It's been a mixed up week for Paul Simon.
Police were called to the singer's house after reports of a disturbance, leading to the arrest of both Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell on 'disorderly conduct'.
The result of what the pair termed a 'family dispute' the case was swiftly dismissed. Appearing in court together at Norwalk Superior Court in Connecticut on Monday (April 28th), the two held hands and described arguments between them as "rare".
Paul Simon told the court: "Both of us are fine together. We had an argument and it's fairly atypical of us; neither of us has any fear or any reason to feel threatened and I don't feel I need to be protected."
Upon their release, the two did what any self-respecting songwriters do: they wrote a song. Uploaded to SoundCloud, 'Like To Get To Know You' features Simon on backing vocals and features the refrain: "I'd like to get to know you again".
