Don't look now but the way in which computer games interact with music has massively evolved.
Each instalment of 'Grand Theft Auto' brings with it a stellar soundtrack, with new games upping their game to stay in touch.
'Destiny' is out now, with Paul McCartney supplying a brand new track for its soundtrack. Recorded at Abbey Road with a 120 piece orchestra, it's a lush, sweeping piece.
Cinematic in scope, McCartney's melodic flair is evident throughout. Video game developer Bungie are behind the game, with a representative recently informing Vulture about McCartney’s involvement.
"There was no check involved, big or otherwise,” “He’s in it for the creativity. He got a wonderful opportunity to reach an audience that wouldn’t typically be immersed in Paul McCartney. They might hear the name — of course he’s everywhere, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics, obviously he’s touring and recording nonstop — but he sees it as a way to reach a new audience that might not otherwise hear his music."
