Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney is set to speak to his fans via a special webchat later today (May 20th).
Forty years after their split, The Beatles are back. Via a series of re-issues, the odd ‘Rock Band’ game and a host of retrospectives The Fab Four have become an enormous cultural force all over again.
A biopic of John Lennon is picking up awards, while Liam Gallagher is working on a new film based on the turbulent story of Apple Records.
The sole surviving member of the band who actually tours, Sir Paul McCartney has been keeping fans entertained as only he can. Shows at the enormous Citi Field venue in the United States resulted in a lavish DVD, while a new European tour sees the singer return to Britain later this summer.
In preparation for the tour Sir Paul McCartney has agreed to speak to fans in a special webchat. Lasting for twenty minutes, the chat takes place on the singer’s official website from 5pm (GMT).
The Beatles legend will be speaking to fans from his Sussex studio, where he is preparing for a new tour of Mexico. Part of his ongoing world tour, the singer will take time out of extensive rehearsals.
As well as the new tour, the singer has recently shifted his entire solo back catalogue to an independent label.
In addition to taking questions from fans, Sir Paul McCartney will announce the winners of a special competition run via his website.
