Multi-instrumentalist Patrick Wolf has hinted that his new album may well be a double disc affair, according to a new blog the artist has published.
Wolf released his debut album “Lycanthropy” to rapturous acclaim. Its blend of electronica and off-kilter songwriting earned the artist a devoted following, and the album has become a modern classic.
In his latest blog, Wolf suggested that the new album may well be a double disc affair. “The album has been in my blood for a year and much more…. the label think it will be a disaster, I’m sure, as it comes more from the bottom of my heart than even ‘Lycanthropy’, about my father’s cancer, my solitude, my true love, my Irish roots, everything that has touched me to the core in the last year….”
With regards to the possibilities of a double album Wolf was fairly open minded, stating that “one disk is heartbroken and in deep dispair [sic], one is in deep dark joy dedicated to my new love, my old and forever love, william the conqueror”.
There is no release date for the new Patrick Wolf album.
