Passion Pit Cancel Tour Dates

Due to ill health

Passion Pit have cancelled a series of tour dates due to Michael Angelakos’ ill health.

All is not well with Michael Angelakos. The creative lynchpin of Passion Pit, the band’s second album was delayed as the frontman attempted to deal with several ongoing mental health issues.

‘Gossamer’ is set to be released on July 23rd, and Passion Pit had intended to complete a lengthy tour. Announcing a full batch of North American dates, the band were set to open the tour later this month.

Sadly, it seems that Michael Angelakos is simply not well enough to take part in the tour. As a result, Passion Pit have cancelled their opening batch of shows in an attempt to give the singer time to rest.

A note on the band’s website reads:

On behalf of the band and myself, I would like to greatly apologize for the show cancelations. In order for me to ensure that there will be no further disruptions, I am going to take the time to work on improving my mental health. For now, I’d like to thank all of our fans for their understanding. I hope to see all of you very soon in a much different light.
