Party Dozen have shared their searing new single ‘Coup De Gronk’.
The Sydney punks had a breakthrough in 2022, with their album ‘The Real Work’ scoring rave reviews. Word of mouth propelled them forwards, with the band’s debauched sound touching on illicit notes at every turn.
Set to support Amyl and the Sniffers on their European tour this Autumn, Party Dozen have also laid plans for headline shows in Nottingham, Glasgow, Birmingham, and London.
The duo – Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boule – will unleash new album ‘Crime In Australia’ this week (September 6th, in fact) while there’s just enough time for another preview.
Channelling vintage Ozploitation cinema, the video for new cut ‘Coup De Gronk’ matches Party Dozen’s counter cultural appeal – raw, DIY videography, the clip sits in line with their pared back sound.
The duo comments…
“The brief for this clip was Party Dozen Debt Collectors – unhinged and unlikely. We’re not violent people, so in lieu of actual violence we had to be a little more creative with the enforcing. Tanya and Jason captured the perfect mix of delinquency and humour, with clear nods to classic Australian gang films and old crime shows with that hazy smear of motion film.”
Tune in now.
