Parkay Quarts Unveil ‘Content Nausea’

An album (but not an album) by a band (but not a band)

Sometimes real life gets in the way.

With one member of Parquet Courts completing a maths degree and another about to start a family, Andrew Savage and Austin Brown decided to kill time by getting into the studio together.

Parkay Quarts – see what they did there? – were born. Not quite an album, new 'dollop of material' 'Content Nausea' drops on November 10th via Rough Trade, and it's rather unique.

Penning new material, Parkay Quarts also decided to throw in a few covers. 'These Boots Are Made For Walking' gains a gender-bending re-work, while The 13th Floor Elevators' acid punk classic 'Slide Machine' is put through the mixer.

New cut 'Uncast Shadow Of A Southern Myth' is online now. Frenetic art punk with an unkempt sensibility, you can tune in below.
