Paris Blue Connect With Openness With ‘Honestly’

Spiky but infectious indie songwriting...

Hastings outfit Paris Blue have shared their new single ‘Honestly’.

The band have caught attention on the close-knit south coast scene, blending some arch influences with a dash of spiky originality. All acute angles and taut rhythms, they’ve been compared to Talking Heads, or even those early Bloc Party singles.

Building their unified bond through some hectic live shows, Paris Blue recently supported local breakouts Kid Kapichi – very much flying the flag for the scene – before being invited to support The Enemy at the De La Warr Pavilion.

New single ‘Honestly’ taps into this. Insistent and urgent, it’s also very open – frank in its melodic invention, the song has a dash of pop in its veins, albeit one skewed alongside a number of other distinctive flavours.

Produced by acclaimed engineer Kevin Van Bergen, ‘Honestly’ is a catchy ear-worm of a song. Paris Blue say…

‘Honestly’ is an alt-pop track to it’s core, a cluster of hooks with a vibe. Simple, fun and effective!

The song… isn’t to be taken too seriously. It’s about being open. With our thoughts, feelings and relationships with others. A sentiment a lot of us can connect with in modern dating.

Tune in now.

Catch Paris Blue on tour this month, including a show at the Finsbury in London on February 16th – the venue that also housed Fontaines DC’s first-ever London show.
