Pangaea will release his new album ‘Changing Channels’ on October 6th.
The producer recently signalled his return, sharing opening thumper ‘Installation’. Continuing to challenge himself, Pangaea has now laid out plans for a full length project.
Out on October 6th via long-time home Hessle Audio, ‘Changing Channels’ is a seven-track affair, fusing bass abstraction with dynamic, sometimes abrasive club frequencies.
Moving between experimental impulses and something more melodic, Pangaea has illustrated his intentions with two heavyweight new tracks.
The title track has a hypnotic sense of focus, perpetually evolving yet forever remaining in its carefully defined lane. Meanwhile ‘Hole Away’ has an aspect of UKG under its curious sample flip, the toy piano aspects suggesting something child-like and innocent.
Two club heaters from one of the most imaginative minds in the game, you can check out both below.
