Panda Bear and Sonic Boom have combined for new single ‘Edge Of The Edge’.
The Lisbon residents connected during lockdown, with the long-time friends swapping fresh ideas. Incoming album ‘Reset’ brings this music together in one place, and it’s due to be released via Domino on August 12th (and you can order it online, in fact).
New single ‘Edge Of The Edge’ is a real beaut, a pristine pop song with retro overtones. The vintage appeal is matched to some otherworldly psych elements, fusing a sample of Randy & the Rainbows’ 1963 doo-wop hit ‘Denise’ with fresh ideas.
A delicious ear-worm, ‘Edge Of The Edge’ combines its melodic appeal with a thirst for out-of-the-box sonic elements. Danny Perez directs the video, which taps into the song’s psychedelic appeal, with lysergic colours and DY effects.
