South London songwriter Paige Bea has a subtle but devastating approach.
Lauded by Jamz Supernova, her supple, softly pensive songwriting is imbued with enormous ambition, with a real streak of passion running through each song.
Her new EP is incoming on tastemaker label Lapsang House, with Clash able to share standout track 'After All'.
Initially not destined for the EP, the sheer strength of the musicality made it an essential late addition.
Paige explains: "It didn’t feel enough like the rest of the EP when I first got on the piano, but then I let Leo take over on the keys and with Jonjo’s trademark production we crafted the same dark aesthetic around the track..."
As for the subject matter, it's about something everyone can relate to - the moments after a break up.
She continues: "It’s not about being sad it’s over, it’s about being sad that you’re not even getting the drunk text..."
