Pa Salieu Announces New Mixtape ‘Afrikan Alien’

Coventry rapper Pa Salieu has announced his new mixtape, ‘Afrikan Alien’, out November 1th.

Featuring prelude singles ‘Allergy‘ and ‘Round & Round‘, the eleven-track mixtape represents Pa’s post-prison excavation, made with the likes of Byron Messiah, ODUMODUBLVCK and Black Sherif. A joyful, resilient tribute to his Motherland, much of ‘Afrikan Alien’ was inspired by conversations Pa had with a cadre of close collaborators about Africa’s politics and the destabilizing forces that halt the continent’s growth.

Of the inspiration and creative journey the rapper went on creating ‘Afrikan Alien’, Pa says: “My music explains who I am and what I stand for; it’s how I speak to the world. I was processed through the system, but I processed my mind towards freedom. So, when I come up against restrictions -like venues that won’t let me perform – I don’t feel sorry for myself or hold animousity towards others. I keep going because I understand why. Now, I’m back with nothing to prove, only here to experience the joys of making music. Every track is a new energy, a different conversation, made to bring a little peace amidst all the oppression and chaos.”

The mixtape artwork sees Pa waring a crown waving the Marcus Garvey flag of Pan African unity. “All symbols of where I come from and who I am,” he continues. “There’s power in music, power in unity, and a call to bring our people together in these times of division. To me, this project is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a reminder of our roots, our unity, and our shared purpose.”
