Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne is set to release his new album ‘Scream’ on June 14th.
One of the founding fathers of heavy metal, Ozzy Osbourne has become better known for his public persona than his music in recent years. Once the wailing frontman of Black Sabbath, the singer is now seen as reality TV fodder.
A recent re-issue campaign has whetted appetites for new material, with Ozzy Osbourne set to release new album ‘Scream’ on June 14th.
The singer’s first album of new material in some time, it ends a period of introspection for the metal icon. Ozzy Osbourne recently published his memoirs, which give both tragic and hilarious insight into his years of drug abuse.
New album ‘Scream’ is a step forward for the singer, who is currently preparing a world tour. Lasting eighteen months, the tour will include a headline slot at his annual celebration of all things heavy ‘Ozzfest’.
The new album will be preceded the single ‘Let Me Hear You Scream’ which was given its world premiere on Wednesday (April 14th). A fist pumping anthem, the tracks gains serious muscle from producer Kevin Churko.
Ozzy Osbourne worked closely with the producer, re-uniting the team behind his 2007 album ‘Black Rain’. Recorded in his Los Angeles home studio ‘The Bunker’ the album is the sound of a metal icon getting to grips with the current scene.
Featuring a new guitar player, Ozzy Osbourne has rarely sounded so at ease with his own legend.
