Owls Confirm First Studio Album In 13 Years

'Two' due on March 25th...

Owls are set to release new album 'Two' through Polyvinyl on March 25th.

Tim Kinsella, Mike Kinsella, Victor Villarreal, and Sam Zurick started making music as teenagers. Using the name Cap'n Jazz, the group eventually shifted into Owls and released one priceless, peerless album.

All that, though, was thirteen years ago. Evidently deciding that their break had been satisfactory, Owls re-grouped late last year to focus on a potential follow up.

Clearly re-discovering the chemistry which pulsed through their debut album, the four piece have outlined plans for a follow up. Logically titled 'Two', the album will be released on March 25th.

As Mike Kinsella explains: "The band dynamic was eerily similar to the first record.. in some ways I think we all regressed to whatever roles we filled then, for better and for worse."

Ahead of this, Owls have placed new track 'I'm Surprised' online. Endlessly inventive, hopelessly surreal and ridiculously catchy, it's exactly the comeback Clash wanted and expected to hear.

Check it out below.
