Overmono have shared their new single ‘Walk Thru Water’.
The production duo have had an incredible year, nailing some essential summer anthems. The pair’s incredible live show demolished festivals across the land, and they close out a phenomenal 12 month period with a brand new song.
‘Walk Thru Water’ samples the voice of St. Panther, and it switches from their rave-centric heaters through to something more nuanced, displaying their impeccable grasp of sound design.
A song that feels like a curtain closer, the bubbling R&B aspects within the production are given a riveting future-forward feel, as Overmono saturate the tones in vivid colour.
In a note over on IG the duo describe how the song came together…
“Vocal is sampled from @stpanther who has this unbelievable way of making their voice sound so different on every record. Remember it coming together late one night when we got back to the hotel after a show.. we wrote these chords as soon as we got in and spent the next few nights after each show chopping and pitching the vocal, blasting it out of a little bluetooth speaker. As soon as it was ready we started to play it live and it quickly became one of our favourite parts of the set, so it felt right to get this one out before the end of the year…”
