There’s a sense of other-worldly Victoriana to the hand-cut scenery, which doffs its cap to Our Broken Garden’s fascination with the sub-conscious.
Anna Brønsted says…
“One chilly day in March, John Grant came down from Iceland to Copenhagen to film the video for ‘Rain’ with me. John and I have been connecting via email over the years and I have always felt a warm bond with him, so it was a great pleasure to finally meet him in person. My dear friend and highly skilled filmmaker, Tine Reingaard, made us both feel relaxed in her presence. We had a lovely day with lots of laughs, wrapping up with delightful talks and dinner at my home. Subsequently, I dedicated countless hours crafting stop-motion animations using hand-cut paper collages, integrating them with the filmed footage. The process took forever, but I am genuinely content with the outcome.”
Tune in now.
