Indie pop prodigy Oscar Lang has shared his exuberant new single 'Flowers'.
Still only 19 years old the songwriter bursts in 2020 with a clutch of live shows and a brand new single, following on from his sterling debut EP 'bops etc'.
New single 'Flowers' is out now, and it's a sunshine strewn piece of indie pop, reminiscent of everyone from Teenage Fanclub to Dirty Hit team mate Beabadoobee.
It's a wonderfully succinct offering, so carefree and yet also self-aware in its construction, with Oscar's voice calling out: "Down the chord progression goes… can you feel it in your toes?"
A sound he dubs "Beatles-esque" we'd also throw power pop greats The Apples In Stereo in there, too, such is its relish for hard-won innocence.
Says Oscar: “‘Flowers’ is a new change in my sound that I’ve been waiting to make for a while, I finally get to record the songs I’ve been writing since I was 16 but never had the opportunity to go into a studio and do a full band recording of. I wanted to blend a mix of the old Beatles-esque psychedelia and a modern sound, and it was a fun opportunity for me to scream all over a track.”
Tune in now.
