Oscar Jerome Shares ‘Smile On A Screen’ Video

Jazz vocalist sets out on his debut UK headline tour...

Rising London jazz vocalist Oscar Jerome has shared the new video for 'Smile On A Screen'.

The newcomer released a full EP earlier in the year, matching awareness of the capital's jazz underground with a thirst for potent, soulful songwriting.

Selling out two packed London shows, Oscar is now set to head off around the country, spreading the gospel as he goes.

To coincide with the announcement, the singer has shared the Eda Feola directed video for 'Smile On A Screen', featuring words from James Massiah.

Speaking about the video, Jerome says: “In this song I’m discussing the unrealistic expectations we have of life, success, love and lust because of the airbrushed reality we are fed through media. I wanted this to be reflected in the video that shows me, the band and James Massiah as cut-out photos placed in crazy, unreal settings. Everything from the way we move to how the scenes are set out like pieces of art, are to help show the way we have completely lost contact with the world around us.”

Tune in now.
