Oscar Jerome Links With anaiis On ‘Smell The Daisies’

It's a plea for empathy...

Oscar Jerome aligns with anaiis on new single ‘Smell The Daisies’.

The South London artist returned with imposing single ‘The Fork’, following this with excellent cut ‘Desert Belly’.

Out now, ‘Smell The Daisies’ flips the script – opening with folk-hewn acoustic chords, it retools his influences from a fresh angle.

A plea for empathy in an increasingly toxic world, Oscar’s voice is beatific, displaying his emotive tendencies; joined by anaiis, the two work perfectly together.

“The track is about how our addition to individualism and misguided tribalism has led most people to no longer feel true empathy”, Oscar explains. “War is a money-making machine. We are all encouraged to turn away and fight amongst ourselves while the rich get richer and innocent people suffer. Until we shift this mentality to one of a collective society, there can never be real long-lasting change”.
