Irish producer and DJ Or:la has announced a new EP, ‘Moonlight Crush’, out April 25th via fabric’s eponymous label.
With the announce comes Or:la comes lead single, ‘A Howl’s A Howl’, a cerebral dance dirge inspired by Irish folklore, and the now-extinct native wolves in the UK and Ireland. ‘A Howl’s A Howl’ is track number one on the ‘Moonlight Crush’, a functional take on nocturnal raves. Expect “heavy rhythmic synths and organs reminiscent of losing yourself on the dancefloor, the scent of smoke machines and sweat thick in the air, lit only by the hint of a full moon.”
Or:la’s artistic journey has taken her from the remote landscapes of Inch Island in Ireland to the vibrant nightlife scenes of some of the world’s most iconic venues. Now based in Liverpool, Orlagh Dooley has become an integral part of the clubbing scene as a promoter and queer community builder. Or:la’s work spans UK bass, tribal house, deep house, breakbeat, acid and 90’s techno.
