Orion Sun Channels Her Torment On ‘Already Gone’

A new era dawns...

Orion Sun is back!

Charting the seismic shifts in her life – a move from New York to Los Angeles and the dissolution of a relationship – the acclaimed singer-songwriter shares new single, ‘Already Gone’, via Mom + Pop.

The release comes after a two year hiatus and recalls the incandescent and cinematic psych-infused soul of her ‘Getaway’ EP, which featured contributions by Nascent, Guapdad 400, Rostam and Rodaidh McDonald, who produced ‘Already Gone’ alongside Julian Ali.

Of her new release, the LA-based artist says:

“It’s about that first night alone when your partner moves out and it’s obvious nothing will ever be the same. You try to change it or fix it or run from it but you have to come home eventually. The silence becomes heavy like water. Everything was a task. Everything was hard. I was holding on to hope like a life raft. Only in retrospect is it kind of funny. It seems dramatic and annoying but it was so true to me then.

Orion Sun recently accompanied Daniel Caesar on his Superpowers World Tour, whilst writing on Bryson Tiller’s explosive track ‘Whatever She Wants’, which sampled ‘Intro’ from her breakout ‘Getaway‘ EP. Orion was also featured artist on the track ‘ItsNotREEAALLLLLLLL’ on Fred Again..’s album ‘USB’.
