London band oreglo commemorate their signing to Brownswood Recordings with a debut EP, ‘Not Real People’, out July 5th.
oreglo comprises c-sé (keys), Linus Barry (guitar), Nicco Rocco (drums) and Teigan Hastings (tuba), and together they cultivate an organic sonic imprint that speaks to the cross-pollination of scenes and sounds that define their home city. The EP announce comes with new single ‘peck’, a free jazz odyssey stretching to a marathon seven minutes “about the feeling of being pecked on the cheek by a crush. On the outside you’re trying to play it cool but on the inside your feelings are exploding.”
‘Not Real People’ also features previously released singles ‘levels’ and ‘J.A.C.K.’, and four new tracks including ‘comet’ with vocals from fellow Londoner, Bel Cobain.
Of the EP experience, oreglo share: “’Not Real People’ is a reflection of our growth from adolescence into adulthood living in London. Our feelings of alienation, identity and love. Sonically this EP represents our exposure and interests in all genres.”
