Open Mike Eagle has launched new group Previous Industries.
The rapper is a seminal underground figure in American music, and his catalogue is replete with gems. Last year’s studio album ‘Another Triumph Of Ghetto Engineering’ was superb, but the creativity isn’t about to stop.
In a collaborative move, Open Mike Eagle has launched an all-new group. Previous Industries features three rappers of a certain age – Open Mike Eagle, Video Dave and STILL RIFT – who share mutual Chicago roots but currently base themselves in Los Angeles.
A new double-single is out now, with ‘Showbiz’ and ‘Braids’ highlighting two different facets of the triptych’s identity. ‘Showbiz’ was produced by Child Actor, and presents – as they call it – “the new fools in town”, while ‘Braids’ was produced by Quelle Chris.
