Glasgow’s Franz Ferdinand are readying themselves for their low key tour of the UK after a warm up gig in London on Monday.
Clash was there at the exclusive gig at The Macbeth in Hoxton where the band premiered material from their forthcoming album and said “This new material seems to have a more violent edge to them than their predecessors, delivered by smiling, snappily dressed young men. There’s something Clockwork Orange-esque going on here…”
The band are set to play smaller gigs around the UK, taking in venues not always covered by full sized tours. The tour can be seen as part two of their jaunt last Summer which saw them play a number of gigs across the Scottish Highlands.
The tour dates –
21st June – Tork, Fibers
22nd June – Hull, Adelphi
24th June – Bristol, Thelka
25th June – Bath, Moles.
26th June – Yeovil, Orange Box
28th June – Cardiff, The Point
29th June – Leeds, Faversham
