Omar Apollo Unveils Deluxe Album ‘Ivory (Marfil)’

It features five new tracks...

Omar Apollo has evolved from a teenage dream strummer to one of this generation’s most promising crossover stars in a handful of years. Starting his journey by self-releasing a pair of EPs, 2018’s ‘Stereo’ and 2019’s ‘Friends‘ — he honed his signature brand of “bedroom soul” on introspective project ‘Apolonio’, which featured collaborations with Bootsy Collins, DJ Dahi, Albert Hammond, Jr. and more.

The Indiana-raised, Mexican-American singer-songwriter now unveils the deluxe edition of his debut album, ‘IVORY (Marfil)‘, featuring five new songs, including the folky lovesong lament of ‘Pretty Boy’. His debut was released to acclaim, crossing genre lines and language barriers; moving through themes of romantic yearning, fluidity of identity and the gift and burden of his cultural heritage.

Omar will return to London with a show at All Points East on August 25th, before kicking off his 22-date ‘Prototype’ tour, alongside Ravyn Lenae, around the US.
