Olafur Arnalds Living Room Project

A song a day...

Olafur Arnalds is set to record and release a new album live in his living room.

An inventive talent, Olafur Arnalds’ output has rightly earned widespread acclaim. Erased Tapes released his new album ‘…and they have escaped the weight of darkness’ earlier this year, mixing languid orchestration with a real emotive touch.

Refusing to take time off, the composer has thrown himself into a new project. Olafur Arnalds is set to record and release a song each day this week, inviting fans to watch him at work in his living room.

The project follows on from ‘Found Songs’ in 2009, where the composer attempts a similar feat. Now Olafur Arnalds has gone a step further by inviting fans to watch the entire process as it unfolds.

Working in his Reykjavik apartment, the composer will release a new song each day this week. Hard at work, Olafur Arnalds will then gather the new material together for a full album release later this year.

‘Living Room Songs’ will receive a physical release later this year, with Erased Tapes set to make the album available on CD / vinyl / high quality digital / special edition CD and DVD.
