It's a meditation on the impact of anxiety...

Okay Kaya has shared her new single 'Ascend And Try Again' - tune in now.

Norwegian-born, New York-based Kaya Wilkins stole attention last year with her debut album 'Both' and that emphatic cover of Cher's 'Believe'.

Heading straight back into the studio, a full album project is slated to land via Jagjaguwar next year.

New single 'Ascend And Try Again' opens this fresh chapter, with Okay Kaya recontextualising phrases from a diving handbook for personal reasons.

An exploration of anxiety - “Breath regularly,” “Never, ever hold your breath,” “Find a neutral buoyancy” - it's a create and highly affecting return.

The full video features Kaya in a Japanese hot spring - tune in below.

Okay Kaya will release her new album in 2020.
