Chicago pairing Ohmme have shared their new single 'Ghost'.
The band have signed to Joyful Noise Recordings, and were set to support Wye Oak on tour before all this occured.
Not be downhearted, Ohmme are moving forwards at velocity, with new album 'Fantasize Your Ghost' landing this summer.
Out on June 5th, it's led by sharp-edged minimalist guitar jammer 'Ghost'.
A kind of deeply dark pop alternative, 'Ghost' is naggingly addictive, with its churning repetition delivered with real panache.
The video is online now, and features Ohmme as literal ghosts. They explain:
“We’d been kicking around the idea of doing something like the Pop Musik video by M but darker…”
“There’s a lot of darkness these days but it’s important to keep dancing. Austin said, ‘fancy ghosts’ and ‘can I press order on these California King satin bedsheets’ and we said ‘Yes, and YES!’”
