Mancunian minstrels Oasis have warned fans against buying tickets for their massive 2009 stadium tour from unofficial websites, in a new statement.
The band have issued a statement on their website warning against using official sites to buy tickets. Oasis singled out an unauthorized site called Oasistickets, which has apparently been reported to the police as being suspicious. Registered to an anonymous registry in Maderia, and reportedly hosted in Hungary, it has set alarm bells ringing inside the Oasis camp.
The band went on to claim that they had discovered a number of high quality forgeries on their recent UK arena tour. Demand for the forthcoming stadium dates has been phenomenal, with 500,000 tickets being sold in just 24 hours.
Extra dates have been added to meet demand, with new gigs announced for London, Manchester and Coventry.
