Oasis Plan Manchester Date

Huge Show In Works

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has revealed in a new interview that the band are planning a massive show in their hometown of Manchester next summer.

The band have just begun their massive new UK tour, and surprised many by omitting Manchester from the dates. The tour began in Liverpool with a two night stand, as Noel Gallagher disobeyed doctor’s orders to rest after the recent onstage attack in Canada.

As Gallagher explained to the BBC the band ignored the city “because we’ve got a supergig planned for next summer in Manchester.”

The band’s last performance in Manchester was at the City Of Manchester Stadium – the home of his beloved Manchester City. However, the guitarist insisted he would surprise fans this time around boasting that “I bet if I give you 500 guesses you’ll never guess where it’ll be.”

Oasis released their new album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ this Monday (October 6th) and it sold nearly 90,000 copies in its first day on sale. It is expected to be among the year’s fastest selling albums.
